Puerto Rico Local Wins Important Legal Victory in Bankruptcy Case

April 17, 2018 – The Puerto Rico local (UPAGRA) of The NewsGuild-CWA recently won an important legal victory with implications for locals dealing with the fallout of bankruptcies. Aug. 21, 2017 – With President Trump’s attacks on journalists as a backdrop, the Guild’s August conference took on a sense of urgency. Judges: The Reports of the Death of Journalism are Greatly Exaggerated

Anyone who reads the works of the winners of the Freedom awards for 2015 would see the state of reporting is not sad, but amazing. Guild Members a Force to Be Reckoned With on Pulitzer Day

THE now world-renowned photojournalists at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the gifted Buffalo News editorial cartoonist Adam Zyglis and a New York Times reporter, Eric Lipton, who would have made Heywood Broun proud, are among the Guild winners who, as of Monday afternoon, are also Pulitzer Prize winners.
