June 8, 2020 – Just weeks after media workers at Pop-Up Magazine Productions announced their union campaign on May 11, they won voluntary recognition. The group is part of a wave of  union organizing among news industry workers. More

June 1, 2020 – Journalists and other employees of Phoenix New Times won a hard-earned victory Monday, garnering the majority of votes to establish the Voice Media Guild. The group will become part of Media Guild of the West, Local 39213 of The NewsGuild-CWA. More

May 28, 2020 – The news staff of Montana’s largest daily paper, the Billings Gazette, announced the formation of the Montana News Guild on Thursday and asked the publication’s parent company to voluntarily recognize the union. More

May 26, 2020 – The digital journalists at the Seattle Times announced plans Tuesday to unionize and to join their colleagues in the Pacific Northwest local of The NewsGuild-CWA. More than 100 Seattle Times journalists are already members of the union. More

May 26, 2020 – The journalists of The Bradenton Herald won union recognition on Tuesday, voting 6-2 to form the Bradenton Herald NewsGuild. More
