Pitchfork and Ars Technica Join Union Organizing Wave

March 29, 2019 – Staffers at two Condé Nast publications announced March 29 that they are seeking union recognition as members of the New York local of The NewsGuild-CWA.

Philadelphia NewsGuild touts ‘significant progress’ in reducing gender pay gap; still far to go in newsroom diversity

March 19, 2019 – The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia reports the local has made significant progress in closing a gender-based pay gap at the city’s three major publications over the last three years and says union members are determined to eliminate the gap entirely.
