The NewsGuild is actively opposing a takeover attempt at TEGNA, a large local news broadcaster. Wall Street firms Apollo Global Management and Standard General are attempting to buy TEGNA, which will ultimately reduce the number of local journalists in our communities and raise consumer prices.
