Members across The NewsGuild-CWA and CWA Canada marched last week in parades across the continent from Detroit to Toronto.

Striking Post-Gazette members march in Pittsburgh

President Jon Schleuss and Executive Vice President Marian Needham joined Guild strikers in Pittsburgh for the Labor Day Parade. The parade marked their 23rd month on strike over the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s violations of federal law. Last month the National Labor Relations Board filed a rare petition for an injunction to compel the company to follow the law. Strikes and their families marched and chanted through downtown Pittsburgh.
