Sept. 2, 2020 – NewsGuild-CWA Local 37082, the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild, is seeking an administrative officer to be based in Seattle. The local represents approximately 300 workers at units in Washington and Idaho.
The duties include:
- Contract bargaining
- Representation in grievances and contract enforcement
- New unit organizing
- Mobilization
- Internal and external communication
- Advocacy for diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Administrative duties, among them managing incoming and outgoing funds, filing tax and employment documents, building the agenda for monthly executive board meetings and drafting an annual budget.
Base pay starts at $65,000 per year.
